Attorneys' books, 1834-1858.

The attorneys' book is a register of the lawsuits the Branch Bank's attorneys filed against the Bank's debtors. Included are the name of the Bank attorney, the county, the date of the suit, the name of the owner of the note, the type of note, the names of the endorsers or securities, the note number, the amount of the note, when the note is due, when the note was issued, the amount and date of judgment, the costs of the suit, and remarks pertaining to payment of debts. The Mobile Branch Bank's attorneys' books are also known as attorney's receipts and attorney's reports of notes in suit.
